I set up Binhex's delugeVPN container following Spaceinvader's YouTube indication that deluge doesn't have permission to access the download folder I made. Is that the user account you are logging in with? If not, we need  Ensure Deluge daemon deluged and Web UI deluge-web are installed. you wish to be able to easily manage or access files downloaded by Deluge, for example: The umask specified in the services sets the permission of new log files. What I would like to achieve is a torrent daemon auto-picking torrent files from a folder on I've downloaded deluge and sort of have set it up. join the debian-deluge group and set the permissions for the group, some say

Upon installation, pacman will create a non-privileged deluge user. This user is meant to run the provided daemon, /usr/bin/deluged.

NTFS is not a "proper" Linux file system - it does not support traditional Unix permissions. Because of that, you need to specify an option when mounting the partition which tells the ntfs driver which permissions to report for all files and directories. See this question for more details. OK, I figured it out. The issue was related to folder permissions on the /home/rob/.config/deluge folder. I ran this command $ sudo chmod -R 777 \deluge from the .config directory and now it is running like a trooper, torrenting Ubuntu Studio for my next experiment on Virtual Box. w00t! Last edited by bogamol (2010-05-08 12:33:48) Permissions can be broken down into Access Control Lists with users and their corresponding rights. Here is an example with the user list at the top and the rights at the bottom: Permissions are also either inherited or not. Normally in Windows, every file or folder gets their permissions from the parent folder. Edit: I worked it out by giving the sc-download user group permissions to the folder. This might not be a solution for everyone but it does for me since Deluge it the only package I use on my DS211+. But if anyone knows the perfect solution, give Deluge specific permissions to the folder, feel free to share :-) Sonarr - permissions issues? downloaded items staying in queue. Software. Setting up Deluge is identical to Radarr, so repeat everything we did in the Sonarr section (Adding download client, indexers and permissions). Please note that Radarr saves movies in their own folder, ie: Gone Girl (2014)/Gone Girl (2014).mp4. As of writing this article, you're not able to disable movie files being saved this way.

This starts the Deluge daemon (which creates a configuration file) and then shuts down the daemon. We’re going to edit that configuration file and then start it back up. It may also be that Deluge is keeping the files held open longer than sonarr is expecting, so the move isn't completing, or are you extracting zip files from If it's not a permissions issue, and copy jobs work OK, then it's possibly… A step by step tutorial to setup Deluge, a multi-platform Bittorrent client which provides torrenting / seedbox functionality on Linux server. I wan't Deluge to create the files that get created by Deluge with rwx to owner and group an --- for "others" This is cuz we modifies the files through network shares and the group "users" doesn't get write permissions wich causes alil trouble, the problem would be solved if Deluge creates theese files with rwx for the groups part.

i have deluge download the episode to a folder "unsorted", and then move completed to "download/tv", sonarr is communicating with deluge and sending files successfully both have the label "tv". but at the end downloads stay in "unsorted" Then create the Deluge user and group: sudo adduser --system --group deluge and add user root to the group deluge: sudo gpasswd -a root deluge Then you have to create a systemd service file for Deluge using your favorite text editor such as nano: Create a cmd file to set the LANG and open deluge. Copy the following text into notepad: set lang=en start deluge.exe Save the file as Deluge.cmd in the same folder as Deluge.exe. Create a shortcut to the .cmd file and use it to start Deluge. To force the use of English only, delete the following language files from Deluge program folder: Is there a specific step you are talking about? If you are referring to plugins in Deluge itself, my guess would be that the config files aren’t being saved to the folder correctly. Probably a permissions issue. See step 7. If it can’t save to the config folder you setup, anytime you restart the container it will lose all those settings.
